Clare Teal BWAccompanied by her full Hollywood orchestra with 7 piece string section and conducted by world class band leader, Guy Barker, BBC Radio 2’s Clare Teal presents her family show, with a rich repertoire that explores timeless jazz classics in concert at Poole Lighthouse on Sunday 11th June 2017.

As the UK’s Queen of Swing, Clare Teal’s shows are renowned for their energetic exuberance. This promises to be an evening of inspired music and entertainment, performed by some of the UK’s most popular jazz musicians.

Clare, who performs all over the UK with her Orchestra, Mini Big Band and trio, also presents a weekly 2 hour Sunday night show on BBC Radio 2.

Incredibly popular on the jazz music scene, Clare’s 2004 album Don’t Talk topped the jazz charts and entered the UK top twenty. Clare has since released 8 more albums, 6 of which being released on her own label MUD.

In August 2015, Clare produced and presented her 2nd full scale concert for proms season at The Royal Albert Hall. Clare has also guested in the past with Hallé, BBC concerts, RTĒ concerts and the John Wilson Orchestra.

Clare’s has previously collaborated with Van Morrison, opened twice for Liza Minnelli at Royal Festival Hall, headlined the Bourbon Street tent at Glastonbury Festival and she regularly performs at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London. Clare was voted Best British Jazz Singer in 2005, 2007 and 2015 and BBC Jazz Singer of the year in 2006.

Jazz by the Sea Festival will take place across multiple venues in Poole and Bournemouth from 11-17th June 2017. Bringing world class jazz musicians to Dorset. Jazz by the Sea Festival will take place in live music venues, pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, shopping centres and retail outlets for one week.
