Scared of Jazz

Scared of Jazz

Charlie Farran’s Four-piece band ‘Scared of Jazz’ celebrate the classic Hammond Organ sound of the 1950s & 60s, when organ trios or quartets blurred the lines between blues, R&B, and jazz. The band cover classic tunes such as ‘Green Onions’, ‘Back at the Chicken Shack’ and ‘Night Train’, producing a sound that just makes an audience want to dance. The band features John Ackroyd – Hammond organ and vocals; Charlie Farran – Drums; Ray Russell – upright bass and Phil Beards – guitar. Hear them play at Metropole Street Market 24th June, Urban Reef on 1st July and Key West bar and restaurant at the End of the Pier on 7th July.
